Distance learning needs participation
Baker College has embraced collaborative learning as the core of its distance learning approach; Lansing Community College has not pushed collaboration as a part of instructional design. In my sections, Baker students tend to post at least twice a day, LCC students twice a month (or less). I believe that I need to restructure how the LCC classes work, because I don't see the LCC students mastering object-oriented programming as well as the Baker students.
